Social Media FAQ
What is social media?
What can social media advertising do for my business?
Ever heard the saying, “If something is free, then you are the product.” That applies to social media.
Social media is nothing without its users and their data. As a business, you are using all that data to place your ads. It’s not different from any other type of marketing, it’s just on an app or a particular website like Facebook or LinkedIn.
The short of it is this:
The social media platform gets users and collects their data, They sell you advertising space where you can drill down users by their data or actions on their platform to present them with services or products they may buy or use.
What social media platforms allow me to advertise?
Pretty much all of them. That’s how they make money and pay the bills.
Which social media platforms are the most popular for advertisers?
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Reddit and YouTube.
Do I really need social media accounts for my business?
Why do I need to secure accounts if I don't plan on using them?
You never know, you might need it in the future. Most importantly, someone else can’t claim it and use it for reasons that don’t align with your business.
We think it’s smart to get profiles at platforms and, at minimum, post something business-related 3 times a week if possible.
If your industry isn’t social media-driven, go ahead and do that. Don’t pay anyone to manage your social media. Put the money into something else.
